The stock market moved slightly up and down around the zero line in the afternoon, largely following movements in international oil prices.
On the OMXS30 list of the most traded stocks in Stockholm, technology trading company Addtech fell the most, 1.8 percent. Clothing giant H&M fell 1.7 percent.
At the other end of the scale, defense group Saab rose 3 percent.
Clothing company Revolution Race released interim figures that the market did not like. The stock fell 9.5 percent.
At the close in Stockholm, the Frankfurt stock exchange was up while Paris and London were down. In New York, all three major indexes were down.
A barrel of North Sea oil costs $88.3 after rising 0.7 percent during the day.
