Atlas Copco leads the OMXS30 index with the most traded shares. The engineering company rises by 1.5 percent. At the bottom are the telecom companies Telia and Tele2, which decline by 0.5 percent each.
The increase comes after a gloomier Tuesday, with declines in both Europe and on Wall Street. The Stockholm stock exchange's broad index fell by 2.2 percent during yesterday.
In Asia, it looks largely red as the major stock exchanges approach closing. The Tokyo stock exchange's Nikkei 225 index is at minus 0.9 percent, while the Hong Kong stock exchange declines by 0.8 percent. The stock exchanges in mainland China also decline.
