On the large company list OMXS30, the defense group Saab was at the top, up 3.2 percent. Among the winners are also the medical technology company Getinge and the cloud service company Sinch, up 0.9 and 0.8 percent respectively.

But overall, it was gloomy among the heavyweights. The appliance manufacturer Electrolux was at the bottom, down 2.3 percent. Thereafter followed the mobile operator Tele2, minus 2.0 percent, and the truck manufacturer Volvo which fell 1.4 percent.

The trend was similar on leading exchanges in Europe, which were traded slightly down.

During the week, several trade agreements are expected to be presented. The major bank SEB writes in its morning letter on Monday that the start of the trading week may be "the calm before the storm" ahead of July 9 when the negotiation deadline for Trump's proposed trade tariffs expires.

A dollar costs 9.50 kronor on Monday and a euro 11.17 kronor.
