H&M's interim report pleased the investors and the clothing giant's share surged 9.8 percent on Thursday. As a whole, however, it was once again bleak on the Stockholm stock exchange.

H&M sprinted in fairly solitary majesty as the broad OMXS-index closed at minus 0.9 percent. The week's declines thus continue.

Also the leading European stock exchanges in London, Paris and Frankfurt retreated.

Among the few other companies on the Stockholm large-cap list OMXS30 that were traded on plus was the defense group Saab's share which continued to climb, plus 1.7 percent,

It went worse for the venture capital company EQT which retreated 4.6 percent and thus took a cue from venture capital companies in the US that fell on Wall Street on Wednesday.

Also the measurement technology company Hexagon fell significantly, minus 4.1 percent.
