On the OMXS30 list of the most traded stocks, heat pump manufacturer Nibe performed best, up 2.7 percent. Measurement technology group Hexagon rose 1.3 percent.
At the other end of the spectrum was the defence group Saab, which fell 3.1 percent. Pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca fell 2.3 percent.
Since the turn of the year, the OMXS index has risen 5.2 percent.
Developments on the leading European stock exchanges were mixed. London rose slightly while Frankfurt and Paris fell.
On Wall Street, the leading indexes had risen slightly after a few hours of trading.
The price of North Sea oil (Brent) is around $76 per barrel.
