The stock exchanges around the world are in a strong trend. In the USA as well as on several larger stock exchanges in Europe, new records are constantly being noted and Stockholm has risen every day this week, yesterday was no exception.
And Friday starts in the same way. After about a quarter of an hour of trading, the broad OMXS index has risen by 0.6 percent. Among the winners on the heavyweight list OMXS30 are engineering companies such as AB Volvo and Atlas Copco, up around one percent.
During the night's Asian trading, the Tokyo stock exchange has risen significantly, up 1.8 percent, while Hong Kong is in the red.
Prior to the opening on Wall Street later today, the futures trading points to continued rising indices. Stock speculators do not seem particularly worried that the American government apparatus is closed due to the budget dispute.
The oil price remains at low levels, although it has turned up somewhat, a barrel of North Sea oil costs $64.70. Gold is still hovering at record levels, $3,860 per ounce.
The krona is trading stably around 9.40 against the dollar and 11.02 against the euro.
