The best performers on the OMXS30 list of the most traded stocks were automation group ABB, up 2.1 percent, and engineering company Atlas Copco, which rose 1.9 percent.
The Wallenberg sphere's venture capital company EQT fell at the other end by 2.3 percent.

The price of oil rose slightly. A barrel of North Sea oil cost $97.68 at the close of trading in Stockholm.
The krona first weakened on the unexpectedly weak Swedish inflation figure for August, which was released this morning, but gradually recovered. One dollar costs 9.59 kronor. The euro is quoted at 11.15 kronor.
