Among OMXS30 companies, mining group Boliden rose 5.0 percent, engineering group Sandvik was up 3.5 percent and heat pump manufacturer Nibe was also up 3.5 percent.
Board game company Asmodee reported a higher-than-expected profit for the first quarter of the company's fiscal year on Tuesday morning. The stock surged 11.2 percent.
Two companies went against the grain: Tele2 and Telia, which fell 1.1 percent and 1.0 percent respectively.
On the commodities market, oil prices are falling. A barrel of North Sea oil costs just over $80 at the close of trading in Stockholm.
