The Stockholm stock exchange's broad OMXS index closed up 0.2 percent on Thursday. The retail chain Rusta reported a 13 percent increase.

Among the most traded stocks in the OMXS30 index, the venture capital company EQT, the defense group Saab and the construction group Skanska rose by 3.6, 2.5 and 1.9 percent, respectively.

It went worse for the heat pump manufacturer Nibe, down 1.7 percent, as well as the network casino company Evolution and the forest company SCA, both down 1.0 percent.

The retail chain Rusta, which reported quarterly figures before Thursday's stock market opening, plummeted over 13 percent.

Leading European stock exchanges strived upwards. London closed with a plus of 0.7 percent, Paris and Frankfurt were up 0.6 and 0.2 percent, respectively.

The market awaited Thursday's fresh inflation figures from the USA, which were largely in line with expectations. After a small decline, the Stockholm stock exchange recovered and closed in the green.

A dollar costs 9.32 kronor and a euro 10.93 kronor.
