Telecom giant Ericsson, up 4.6 percent, topped the OMXS30 list of the most traded stocks. Mining company Boliden rose 3.4 percent.
At the other end, lock company Assa Abloy and gaming operator Evolution fell 2.7 percent and 2.6 percent, respectively.
The defense sector fell after unusually conciliatory statements from Russian President Vladimir Putin about the war in Ukraine.
Sleep aid company Sleep Cycle surged 45.9 percent after venture capital firm Altor made a bid for the company.
At the close in Stockholm, the stock exchanges in Frankfurt and Paris were down, while London was up. In New York, all three major indexes were up.
A barrel of North Sea oil rose 2.3 percent during the day to $103.62.
