Among large companies, mining group Boliden topped the list, up 2.4 percent, followed by Saab, which was up 2.1 percent. On the other hand, measurement technology group Hexagon lost 2.5 percent.
On Wednesday afternoon, US President Donald Trump made new statements about harsh attacks on Iran, which investors in Stockholm currently seem to be taking in stride.
There was no significant concern in Europe either, with the stock exchanges in London, Paris and Frankfurt all closing in the green.
In the oil market, movements have been relatively small, with a barrel of North Sea oil trading at just over $93 at 5:30 p.m.
