The stock exchange's broad OMXS index fell 0.2 percent.
On the OMXS30 index, which tracks the 30 most traded stocks, mining company Boliden led the gainers with a rise of 2.6 percent. At the other end, truck maker AB Volvo fell 1.8 percent.
Clas Ohlson's share fell 0.1 percent after the hardware chain announced this morning that sales rose by 15 percent in July.
On the commodities market, oil prices rose. A barrel of North Sea oil costs just over 83 dollars.
