On the OMXS30 heavyweight index, which includes the most traded shares, investment company Industrivärden was at the bottom, down 2.6 percent. Mining equipment company Epiroc and mining company Boliden fell 2.3 and 2.1 percent, respectively.
At the other end, telecoms company Tele2 was the top performer, up 0.9 percent. Defense group Saab and clothing giant H&M both advanced 0.8 percent.
In the commodities market, oil prices are edging slightly lower. A barrel of North Sea oil closed at $88.
