Performance among the major companies was mixed. Tele2 was the worst performer, falling 4.1 percent. However, this was linked to the share trading without the right to a semi-annual dividend.
Its sector peer Telia announced a savings package on Monday morning that includes 900 job cuts. The share fell 0.4 percent.
Among the gainers, SCA rose 2.0 percent. The biggest loser of the day was online casino company Hacksaw, which issued a profit warning and saw its shares fall 29 percent. Its sector peer Evolution fell 2.3 percent.
Early trading on Wall Street was mixed, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up and the Nasdaq Composite down, while the broad S&P 500 was little changed.
Oil prices rose on Monday, with a barrel of North Sea oil (Brent) costing $106.8.
