It is the eighth trading day in a row that the OMXS index has closed in the red, according to Dagens Industri.

At the bottom of the heavyweight OMXS30 index are pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca, down 2.3 percent, and investment company Industrivärden, down 1.2 percent.

But several companies went against the grain. At the top of the same index were live casino provider Evolution and defence group Saab, up 2.0 and 1.9 percent respectively.

Clothing company Björn Borg and e-commerce company Boozt released interim figures this morning that were not warmly received by the market. The shares fell 5.3 and 7.4 percent, respectively.

On the commodities market, the price of oil rose slightly. A barrel of North Sea oil cost just under $88 at the close of trading, up from $87 on Thursday evening.
