On the OMXS30 index of the most traded shares, Swedbank and Handelsbanken rose 1.3 and 1.1 percent, respectively. SEB and Nordea were also winners, up 0.8 and 0.1 percent.
Banks also climbed on Monday.
Engineering companies Atlas Copco, Sandvik and SKF were at the bottom of the index, with declines of 0.9–1.6 percent.
Trading was up and down during the day - and was affected in the afternoon by the fluctuations on the New York Stock Exchange.
The price trend of North Sea oil affected sentiment. At the close in Stockholm, it cost over $102 per barrel.
The stock exchanges in Frankfurt, London and Paris rose, as did the New York Stock Exchange.
