The Stockholm Stock Exchange climbed to new record levels on Friday. The broad OMXS index closed higher, up 1.2 percent.

The large-cap index OMXS30 rose 1.3 percent, with both indices reaching new record levels, according to Dagens Industri.

At the top of the heavyweight list is Saab, which rose 6.3 percent. Boliden rose 3.8 percent. At the bottom are the telecom companies Tele2 and Telia, which lost 1.3 and 1.5 percent respectively.

In the US, Wall Street opened higher after Friday's key US employment figures, which showed fewer jobs were created than expected.

Asian stock markets were mostly up overnight, with the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Nikkei index rising 1.6 percent.

The oil price is stabilizing again at just over $63 per barrel of North Sea oil. The price temporarily dropped after US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that major oil companies will invest 100 billion kronor in Venezuela and that he will meet with representatives on Friday.
