At market close, the OMXS index was down 0.1 percent after trading in the red earlier in the day.
Among the biggest losers on the large-cap list are ball-bearing manufacturer SKF, down 2.1 percent, and mining-equipment company Epiroc, which fell 2 percent.
The defense company Mildef went in the opposite direction, its share price soaring by approximately 32 percent after a reverse profit warning.
On Wednesday, new reports emerged that an extended ceasefire between Iran and the United States is underway. President Trump said in an interview that he believes the war will be over soon.
The price of oil has been fluctuating. At 5:30 p.m., a barrel was trading for around $95.50.
