The OMXS30 large-cap index closed with measurement technology group Hexagon at the top, up 3.8 percent. Industrial group ABB and tissue company Essity rose 2.2 and 1.7 percent, respectively.
At the bottom was the live casino operator Evolution, down 1.8 percent.
Outside the OMXS30 index, Volvo Cars fell 2.8 percent after German rival BMW issued a profit warning citing, among other things, reduced demand in the Chinese market.
Even on leading stock exchanges in Europe, movements were small.
