A male security guard was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed at a pub on Södermalm in central Stockholm just before midnight, the police write on their website.
A 25-year-old man was arrested near the crime scene and was later detained. He is suspected of attempted murder and unlawful threats.
It started above ground and then continued down in the subway. We have reviewed some camera footage from the site, said Fredrik Andersson, the officer in charge at the police during the night.
The police have, in addition to reviewing surveillance cameras, also held interviews with witnesses on site. During the police operation, subway traffic was temporarily stopped.
