Deficiencies in scaffolding, fire safety, escape routes, and inadequate fall protection are among the most serious issues in the workplace.
"Especially in the last four months, the situation has escalated. No one has died, but with the shortcomings we see in the workplace now, the risks to both life and health are far too great," says Per Ling-Vannerus, Head of Administration for the Stockholm Region, in a press release.
The cancellation means that both CRTG and its subcontractors will stop working immediately. There is no forecast for how the stoppage will affect the metro construction schedule.
