Three demonstrations are planned in Stockholm on Wednesday evening, one of them in support of Palestine, reports Svenska Dagbladet.
“It is held every Wednesday, so it is a coincidence that it falls on October 7,” Ola Österling, a press spokesperson for the Stockholm police, tells the newspaper.
Two demonstrations are being held simultaneously at Mynttorget in the Old Town and outside the Israeli Embassy, in support of Israel and to honor the victims of the terrorist attack.
Ola Österling says a police unit has been assigned to work exclusively on the demonstrations marking the anniversary.
“It is a very experienced police unit that will move between the three demonstrations and handle them,” he tells SvD.
