Stockholm city and Trädgården present a new agreement that makes it possible to continue the operation with unchanged conditions, according to a press release.
”This agreement shows that Trädgården is needed in Stockholm. That over 70,000 people have signed for our future shows the strength of an urban popular movement that wants a vibrant city”, says Johan Wiklund, CEO of Huset under bron AB, in the press release.
The agreement is intended to provide security and stability while awaiting the Land and Environment Court's review of the permanent building permit.
Laying down well-functioning operations is counterproductive to our interests. We want to help in the way we can to get more music scenes of different sizes, says City Planning Commissioner Jan Valeskog (S) to Sveriges Radio P4.
If the Land and Environment Court follows the county administrative board's line and says no to nightclub operations under Skanstullsbron, the municipality will change the detailed plan to make it possible for Trädgården to remain, reports P4.
