A woman in Stockholm lost out on a rental apartment despite accepting the offer to sign a contract. Her email response turned out to have ended up in the Housing Agency's spam folder.
According to Hem & Hyra, 150 emails over a three-month period were mistakenly sorted as spam in the municipal company's email inbox. As a result, several cases have been registered as dropouts.
The housing agency's CEO Jacob Krokstedt tells the newspaper that they are taking the problem seriously.
We are working to eliminate email communication as much as possible.
