The idea behind Stockholm Fashion Week is for Swedish fashion brands to be able to showcase their products to both national and international audiences.

After a couple of years' pause, the fashion week is being revived on June 2-5 this year. According to the organizer, the event has been revamped and will now have a clearer focus on Swedish fashion as an export commodity.

This time, Stockholm Fashion Week is receiving two million kronor in government support.

"We are proud to showcase Sweden's creative talents and pioneering designers to a global audience," says Minister for Foreign Aid and Trade Benjamin Dousa (M), in a comment to the organizer Association of Swedish Fashion Brands, ASFB.

Stockholm Fashion Week has previously been organized twice a year. In 2019, the autumn edition of the fashion week was cancelled, among other things due to economic challenges. Since then, it has been organized on a smaller scale or not at all, writes Dagens industri.

This year's participant list includes, among others, Deadwood Studios and Jennifer Blom.
