AIK and Hammarby Draw 0-0 in Intense Stockholm Derby

There was no lack of duels in the hot Stockholm derby between AIK and Hammarby. What was lacking, however, was goals. The game between top-of-the-table AIK and now-second-place Hammarby in the top league ended 0–0. Frustrated and disappointed, says John Guidetti to Max.

It did not become many hazardous situations to note, the teams had two shots on goal.

The goalkeepers Kristoffer Nordfeldt, AIK, and Warner Hahn, Hammarby, both made fine saves that led to the goalless outcome.

The game-wise, Hammarby was unrecognizable compared to earlier in the season.

We knew that this is a difficult place to come to. A draw is fair and reflects the match, and I'm satisfied with that, of course. But absolutely, we want to play more minutes of "Hammarby football". With how tough AIK is to meet at home, it's a giant strong point, says Hammarby's coach Kim Hellberg to Max.

"Must grasp"

Somewhat unexpectedly, AIK had more opportunities in the offensive penalty area, a statistical column Hammarby usually dominates in their matches.

Somewhere you must start to understand that we are a pretty good football team. We have met all the best teams that everyone says are so good, and I think we do it pretty well when we meet them, says John Guidetti about AIK's match and season.

AIK is unbeaten in Allsvenskan 2025 and tops the table. Mjällby, however, has the chance to take over the top spot on Monday when they receive at Strandvallen.

Chaos before the game

The drama began otherwise already before the match.

The kick-off time had to be postponed by 15 minutes, after problems in the commuter train traffic, which made it impossible for the supporters to arrive at the arena on time.

According to Expressen, the police state that an event train at Södra station had to be evacuated. This after the train was subjected to extensive vandalism.

The train was reportedly standing still for a long time without the possibility of opening them, which created panic on the fully packed train, reports Aftonbladet.

Earlier on Sunday, a police intervention also took place on Södermalm in Stockholm, where about twenty supporters were reportedly removed from a restaurant.

Among other things, objects have been thrown at the police, says the police to the newspaper.
