The red-green leadership in Stockholm City Council is increasing support to the free cultural life by 15 million kronor in the budget for next year, writes Dagens Nyheter. About 50 actors will receive a share of the money, including Unga Klara, Dansens hus, Moderna dansteatern and Orionteatern. The support will also benefit community centers.

”A municipality can never fully replace the state's responsibility, but we can use every tool we have to ensure that culture and community get a continued obvious place”, says Cultural Commissioner Torun Boucher (V) in a press release.
