The stock market week starts on the upswing despite war fears

Among the heavyweights in the OMXS index, pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca rose 0.8 percent and engineering group Sandvik rose 0.6 percent.

Stenbeck's investment company Kinnevik is down 1.2 percent after board member Rubin Ritter was appointed acting CEO replacing Georgi Ganev.

The price of Brent oil on the futures market is trading at just over $106 per barrel, and the krona is hovering near its lowest level this year. One US dollar equals 9.44 kronor, while the euro trades at 10.79 kronor.

The Stockholm Stock Exchange's OMXS index ended last week down 1.3 percent and is up 0.3 percent year-to-date.
