Stockholm Stock Exchange Rises as Week Closes

The Stockholm stock exchange appears to be ending the trading week upwards. After two hours of trading, the OMXS index is up 0.5 percent. On leading European stock exchanges, the trend is the same.

Among the most traded stocks in the OMXS30 index, the real estate company SBB and the pharmaceutical concern Astra Zeneca are moving upwards by 2.8 and 1.7 percent, respectively. Nibe Industrier is falling by almost 3.0 percent at the same time.

The eyewear chain Synsam fell by 3.7 percent following a quarterly report.

It has been generally downward on leading Asian stock exchanges during the night to Friday, with Tokyo sideways but downward in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

The S&P500 index on Wall Street closed at plus 0.4 percent on Thursday. In futures trading ahead of Friday's trading on US stock exchanges, the direction is generally upward.

The global market price of crude oil has stabilized after new declines on Thursday. A futures contract for delivery of Brent oil next month is just above 64 dollars per barrel.

The Stockholm stock exchange rose by 0.7 percent on Thursday and is up by 2.0 percent since the turn of the year.
