The broad OMXS index closed up 0.2 percent.
Among those that rose were several major bank shares, such as Nordea, which rose 2.3 percent. Pharmaceutical manufacturer AstraZeneca also performed strongly, up 1.9 percent.
At the bottom of the list were the venture capital company EQT and the clothing group H&M. The shares fell 2.9 and 2.0 percent, respectively.
Developments were mixed on the leading European stock exchanges. Frankfurt and London rose, while Paris fell.
Oil is trading below $80 again. At 5:30 p.m., the price was $77.40 for a barrel of North Sea oil.
