No direct talks with Iranian negotiators are on the agenda, said Majed al-Ansari, spokesman for Qatar's Foreign Ministry, according to the AFP news agency.
The talks will cover all regional issues, of course including the negotiations with Iran, but also including Lebanon, he told reporters in Doha.
Al-Ansari also said that Qatar is cooperating with Oman on safe passage for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Al Jazeera reports. He also denied Iran's claim that Qatar has released six billion dollars in frozen Iranian assets.
On Wednesday, Iran will hold talks with mediator Qatar about the frozen assets and the implementation of what was agreed in the memorandum of understanding, Iran's Foreign Ministry said.
These discussions will be held with the Qatari side, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei at a press conference.
On Monday, after much deliberation, Tehran announced that it would send a delegation to Doha "this week," after Iran first rejected US President Donald Trump's claim that Iran had requested a meeting in the Qatari capital.
After attacks from both Iran and the US over the weekend, several media outlets reported on Sunday that the ceasefire between the parties is once again in effect "for the time being."
