It is no particular weather-related event that makes the man behind hits like ”The joker” and ”Abracadabra” cancel this summer's tour. Instead, Steve Miller refers to a feeling he has. And to all the natural disasters that have affected the USA.
”The combination of extreme heat, surprising floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and extensive wildfires creates unacceptable risks for the audience, the band and the staff around”, writes Steve Miller, 81, on his website.
”You can blame the weather..., but the tour is cancelled”.
The tour would have started on August 13 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan and continued until November 8.
