"I want to emphasize that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has no means to provide consular assistance to Swedes at sea," says Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard in a comment.
"If you, as a Swede, choose to participate in the flotilla, you are taking a conscious risk," she adds.
She says she spoke with her Israeli counterpart to "express the expectation that the rights of Swedish citizens will be respected."
In a later written response to TT, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it "has information that a few Swedes" were on board the convoy and that it "is in contact with relatives."
On Thursday evening, local time in Sweden, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced that the activists will be brought ashore in Greece.
