Stellan Skarsgård is nominated for the British equivalent of the Oscars, a BAFTA Award. Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson is also nominated for the music for "Sinners."

This comes after Skarsgård was awarded an Oscar nomination, a Golden Globe and an EFA (European Film Academy Award) earlier this year for his role in Joachim Trier's Norwegian family drama "Sentimental Value".

Skarsgård is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category, where his son Alexander Skarsgård was also previously on the long list for his role in the LGBTQ drama "Pillion".

“Sentimental Value” is also nominated in the categories of best screenplay, best foreign-language film, best supporting actress (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas), best leading actress (Renate Reinsve), best director and best film. The film is also nominated in the casting category.

The most nominations are Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another", with 14, and Ryan Coogler's vampire film "Sinners", which has received 13 nominations. In the latter, Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson has a chance at a BAFTA in the film music category.

The British Academy Film Awards gala takes place in London on February 22.
