The CFO of the financially strained steel group Stegra, Otto Gernandt, is resigning. He will be replaced by Markus Holm, Stegra said in a press release.

Otto Gernandt has been Stegra's CFO for five years but is now transitioning to an advisory role, according to Stegra.

The replacement, Markus Holm, most recently served as CFO and board member at Elcogen Group.

Stegra - with around 20 binding customer agreements in place - aims to complete a new financing round with capital injections and new loans during the first quarter of this year. This is required to complete the steel factory in Boden.

"Factory work in Boden is progressing," writes Stegra's press manager Karin Hallstan in an email to TT.

"We expect to start operations in early 2027," she adds.
