Financially pressured Stegra has previously said that the company needs an additional 10 billion kronor to complete the factory in Boden. According to Dagens Industri, that amount has now increased significantly to around 20 billion kronor, according to sources cited by the newspaper.

Karin Hallstan, press manager at Stegra, does not wish to confirm any meeting or comment on the new figures.

She reiterates that the financing round is continuing, "and we expect that we will need until the end of the quarter to be ready," she writes in a text message to TT.

At a press conference about state finances, Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) was asked whether the state could provide money to Stegra.

"I don't see that it's relevant and I don't see that it's something we should do," she says.
