Hammarby's former coach Stefan Billborn has been the head coach for Norwegian Sarpsborg since January 2022.
But now it is clear that he is leaving the post. His assistant coach, Joachim Björklund, is also leaving the club.
The club states that the parties have agreed to terminate the cooperation.
"We would like to thank Stefan and 'Jocke' for a very good cooperation. They have been fantastic representatives for us and have stood firm in good and difficult times", the club writes on its website.
Earlier, Expressen reported that Billborn is close to getting the coaching job at IFK Göteborg, which is without a head coach after Jens Askou was bought out.
While Sarpsborg is searching for a new head coach, among others, former MFF player Guillermo Molins and former IFK Göteborg goalkeeper John Alvbåge will lead the team's training sessions.
