I don't know what to say. It feels very sad, says artist Qvarsebo to the newspaper.

The police have on Friday filed a report on theft.

It has come to our attention that someone has sawed off the statue depicting the boy in the sculpture, says police spokesperson Filip Annas to TT.

Currently, there is no suspect and the police have not initiated any investigation.

It's very difficult to investigate. We are completely dependent on witness statements, says Annas.

If we receive information that can lead us forward, we will of course take it up again.

The artwork, which now only has a goose left, has stood in Slottsparken since 1979. Guards are being put in place to protect the remaining part, reports P4 Malmöhus.
