The state's payments resulted in a deficit of 81.7 billion kronor in June, according to the National Debt Office. The authority's forecast was a deficit of 49.2 billion kronor.
"The difference is mainly due to higher net lending", the National Debt Office writes in a press release.
For the twelve-month period up to and including June 2025, the state's payments showed a deficit of 129.4 billion kronor. The national debt amounted to 1,171 billion kronor at the end of June, according to the National Debt Office.
