The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, hints that Ukraine can use long-distance drones from the United Kingdom to strike military targets in Russia during the war.

The UK's Prime Minister Keir Starmer suggests that Ukraine can use long-distance drones from the UK to strike military targets in Russia during the war.

The UK's military support to Ukraine is for defensive purposes, but it's up to Ukraine to decide how to use the support for these goals, says Starmer.

The statement confirms that the new Prime Minister from the Labour Party has the same stance on air defense drones as the previous Conservative governments led by Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, and Boris Johnson.

The UK has been one of Ukraine's most loyal allies since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The country has, in addition to sending weapons, also sent money and trained Ukrainian soldiers.

The UK was also the first country to provide long-distance weapons to the Ukrainian army.
