Hien was taken off with eight minutes left in the first half. He was visibly upset and after the 3-1 victory, captain Graham Potter said, "It doesn't look good."
However, things looked good straight away when Starfelt stepped in. The defender from Celta Vigo has had a brilliant season in La Liga behind him - something he immediately showed against Ukraine.
"There was quite a lot of defending when I came in. I think I handled it well," he said.
"He showed what level he can maintain week in and week out in the Spanish league," Potter said.
Starfelt:
"Great fun. Just good to hear. I know he follows my games. But we're only halfway there. We have to win on Tuesday, otherwise this game means nothing."
