American coffee chain Starbucks has decided to close 250 cafes in the North American market. The company has not said how many of them are in the United States or whether any of the cafes are unionized.
Since 2021, more than 700 coffee shops have voted to unionize, something Starbucks has not agreed to. The company is also renovating about 1,500 of its coffee shops in an effort to boost sales again.
