Five-time major winner Brooks Koepka will be the only golf star returning to the PGA Tour this season, as the trio of Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith have announced they will play on the controversial LIV Tour in 2026.

Only LIV players who have been away for at least two years and who have won a major or The Players Championship in 2022–2025 have been offered a path back to the PGA Tour.

American Brooks Koepka met all of these requirements and was recently cleared for a comeback.

Of the current players on the LIV tour, which is funded by Saudi Arabia, only Bryson DeChambeau (USA), Jon Rahm (Spain), and Cameron Smith (Australia) were in the running for a similar comeback. That will not happen.

"I'm focused on LIV this year and hope my team can defend the title," Rahm said when the LIV tour held press conferences with its team captains, reports the BBC, among others.

DeChambeau stated that he is under contract through 2026 and Smith said he will play on the LIV tour "for several years to come."
