Swiss alpine star Lara Gut-Behrami has injured her knee after a fall, putting the reigning Olympic champion's Olympic qualification in jeopardy.

The 34-year-old Swiss skier fell during super-G training in the US and injured her left knee. According to Swiss newspaper Blick, she is suspected of having suffered a concussion in addition to her knee injuries.

She has now been sent home for further examinations.

Lara Gut-Behrami is the reigning Olympic super-G champion and has previously announced that this season will be her last. The veteran has suffered a cruciate ligament injury earlier in her career.

Gut-Behrami has won both Olympic and World Cup gold medals during his career and has taken 48 World Cup victories.

She finished third in the giant slalom premiere in the World Cup in Sölden.
