Several Fall Through Collapsed Stand at Bodø/Glimt-Tromsø Match in Norway

Several people have fallen through a partially collapsed stand during a football match in Tromsø, Norwegian media report. One person has been taken to hospital.

Up to five people have fallen through the stands onto the asphalt. One person was taken to hospital by ambulance. He was conscious when I was there, so hopefully he is OK, Bodø/Glimt press manager Simen Pedersen told broadcaster TV2.

The accident occurred in the away team's section of the stands during the match between Bodø/Glimt and Tromsø.

We were standing and jumping to cheer when the floor gave way and the row in front of us broke in two. At least two people fell through the floor, but we don't know how far they fell or how many fell in total, a spectator at the scene told newspaper Verdens Gang.

The stands have been evacuated and the match suspended, but it will resume, according to TV2. Home fans on one long side have been asked to make way for away fans who, according to VG, "are being offered hot drinks and waffles". Some supporters have reacted to the match being resumed.
