Earlier this week, Daniel Ståhl was forced to stop competing in Turku, Finland after three throws because of a feeling in his right groin.
A few days later, Ståhl was in Stockholm and met with the press ahead of Sunday's Diamond League gala at Stockholm Stadium. There, he gave a reassuring message.
I feel great. I just needed a little massage and treatment. It's elite sport we're doing and sometimes you get a feeling. There's no reason to worry, Ståhl said.
The 33-year-old discus star will face tough competition on Sunday, including world and European champion Kristjan Ceh of Slovenia and Olympic bronze medalist Matthew Denny of Australia.
The season's big goal is the European Championships in Birmingham, August 10–16.
