The Slovenian recorded a world best of 68.76 meters in the same arena on Saturday, but in better wind conditions a day later, he threw the discus a whopping 72.26 meters.
The throw was just 10 centimeters from his own national record and the fourth time in his career the 27-year-old threw over 72 meters. Ceh also passed the 72-meter mark in his second attempt with 72.06 meters.
Ceh won the event by more than eight meters, ahead of Great Britain's Nick Percy, who threw 63.84 meters.
