On Wednesday afternoon, Daniel Ståhl competed in Turku, Finland, at the Paavo Nurmi Games. Ståhl finished second with a best throw of 67.40.
But despite a second-place finish, 33-year-old Ståhl was forced to stop the competition after three throws due to a feeling in his right groin.
"It's nothing serious, but we don't want to take any risks," wrote coach Staffan Jönsson in a text message to TT.
The winner was Slovenian star Kristjan Ceh with 69.13.
On Sunday, Ståhl is expected to compete in the Bauhaus Gala at Stockholm Stadium.
