P4 Blekinge has reviewed 34 doctors whom the region dismissed early in 2025, of whom seven stand out.
One doctor had been convicted of assault and unlawful threats. Another was considered grossly incompetent by the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo), and in a third case authorities sought to revoke his license after the doctor in question gave a cancer diagnosis over the phone.
The region has not been informed of this by the staffing companies, according to P4.
“It is absolutely not good that people have come in who simply should not be there,” says Stefan Pettersson at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, who is project manager for the staffing agreement to which all regions are affiliated.
