SSAB shares rise as US-Canada tariff dispute returns

SSAB shares are up almost 4 percent after negotiations between the United States and Canada ended without a deal, leading to new 50 percent US tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods and a Canadian threat to retaliate "dollar for dollar."

With Monday's rise, SSAB shares have risen 44 percent since the turn of the year.

Aluminum giant Norsk Hydro is another stock that is doing well after the weekend's upbeat tone surrounding new tariffs from Washington and Ottawa.
